The SmartSump™ Sub-floor Void Sump Pump System consists of a ⅓-horsepower cast-iron Zoeller sump pump, durable plastic lid, pump alarm, and our airtight sump liner lid.
The SmartSump™ Sub-floor Void Sump Pump is a key part of our sub-floor void vapor barrier system. Combined with our sub-floor void liner, vent covers, airtight doors, and dehumidifiers, you'll have everything you need to transform your sub-floor into a drier, healthier, usable space -- permanently!
Drying your sub-floor void will help protect your home from mould and rot, create a healthier home environment, and save you a bundle on your home utility bills.

The airtight lid of the SmartSump™ is installed with our innovative ball-and-cup drain. When water enters the cup, the ball floats, activating the drain.
This allows your system to drain water from plumbing leaks without having an opening that would allow humidity in.
Many homeowners go weeks, months, or even longer without accessing their sub-floor void.
Because of this, plumbing leaks and failed sump pumps can lie unnoticed for a very long time -- and potentially lead to a serious mold or rot issue.
Our advanced WaterWatch® Pump Alarm will sound off it there's a flood, letting you know there's an issue. The WaterWatch® Alarm can also be integrated with many home alarms systems -- so you get a phone call if there's a failure.
The SmartSump™ System is an AC-powered sump pump. If your home experiences a blown fuse or power outage (as is common during major storms) your SmartSump™ will be unable to operate.
Because of this, we strongly encourage homeowners to also install our UltraSump® Battery Backup Pump. This powerful backup can pump over 12,000 gallons of water on a fully charged battery.
More about our UltraSump® Battery Backup Pump
We've chosen to use submersible sump pumps in all our sump pump systems. These pumps are installed within the sump pump liner, and operate while underwater. The alternative -- pedestal pumps -- extend out of the sump pit on a stand.
Since submersible pumps are installed inside the sump pit, the sump lid can be sealed. This prevents odours, humidity, and noise from the sump pit from rising into your home.
Because a submersible pump is immersed in water during operation, the water naturally cools the system. This makes them much more resistant to overheating -- a major cause of pump failure.
